Durapipe PLX fuels new HSBC data centreNovember 14, 2011
Durapipe PLX, has been installed within the construction of a new £150m data centre facility for HSBC in Normanton, Yorkshire.
The data centre, which will become the largest of its kind for HSBC, required a superior fuel system to provide fuel oil to the back-up power generators in the case of an emergency.

Durapipe PLX the specialist pipework system for fuel from Durapipe UK has been specified to supply the emergency fuel solutions for the NGD data centre in Newport.
The high-tech data centre in Newport is a new development that required a superior fuel system to provide fuel to the back up power generators in the case of an emergency. Leading electrics company Power Electrics was tasked with supplying and fitting the data centre with a pipework system that would effectively transport fuel to the back up generators in order keep the data centre processes active should a power failure occur. A five year Merseyside hospital building project, funded through Private Finance Initiative (PFI), has utilised Durapipe PLX pipework to ensure the emergency fuel generators can be operated in the case of a power failure.
The £338 million construction project is the largest single investment in healthcare undertaken in the community since the National Health Service was formed. The project encompasses the building of two new hospitals; St Helens Hospital and Whiston Hospital sites to provide modern healthcare facilities in world class hospitals for the local communities. Industry pioneer retires after 32 years serviceMay 28, 2010
Dennis O’Dea has today retired after a sterling term of service of over 32 years with Durapipe UK.
Dennis joined the company back in 1978 as a Technical Sales Engineer following stints firstly in the Merchant Navy and working for the family engineering business.
During his time at Durapipe, Dennis has been a true pioneer in developing a vast array of different polyethylene based pipework systems, including the innovative Durapipe PLX system that is now widely used across the World in both forecourt and many other industrial applications.

Durapipe PLX fuels Iraq forecourtsApril 30, 2010
A major new forecourt construction programme in Iraq has specified Durapipe PLX pipework for the safe transportation of fuel.
The £7 million development will see seven new forecourts constructed across Iraq, commissioned by Heja Oil, an Iraq based oil company, specialising in constructing complete modern forecourts in Iraq and Turkey. Turkish distribution company Interpet, which has years of experience of working with PLX, managed the first forecourt development. Durapipe is going for gold in China after more than 2000 metres of fuel pipesystem Durapipe PLX was installed as part of the construction of the Olympic Qingdao International Sailing Centre. Located in the Shandong province, Qingdao City is the venue for all of the sailing events at the forthcoming 2008 Olympic Games.
Our innovative PLX product has been installed in the new service station which will refuel the sailing competitors boats as they compete for gold at the Olympics.
